  Had Maria's cater a family event yesterday and it was wonderful!
  It was ready for pickup exactly on time.  The food was plentiful, delicious
  and beautifully presented. Everyone loved it and escaped with the leftovers!

  Came here for dinner with my dad on an evening when I got off early. He was craving a pastrami sub. I was hoping for eggplant parmigiana or something similar. His sub was okay but the side salad we shared was not very tasty nor were the dressings that were offered. The utensils cart had forks that looked dirty/used since they were lying flat in the cart. But a server said that they were clean... it was confusing but they did appear clean.
  Overall, this restaurant seems like a messy aunt's house where you don't know if her hair may end up in your lasagna and if your pasta will taste like a frozen brand.
  I most likely won't be back. I'd rather eat at Pinocchio's Restaurant in Burbank if I'm craving true authentic Italian salads, subs and pastas

  I hate writing this 1 star review for my favorite pizza and sandwich shop for nearly 30 years but it really has come to this ,I have eaten here religiously 2 days a week forever and make sure everyone knows about this place but not anymore since Maria and Bruno left the atmosphere has become like a ghost town with all the old pictures and dried salami and cheese rolls taken down to bare walls  the food has become sub par with smaller portions and higher prices , they took away the free pickles and peppers and now charge as a side no matter how much you spend .
  I ate there yesterday for the last time for many reasons , the food and portions have greatly diminished , the atmosphere is completely gone as are the customers that would line up to the door everyday at lunch time , the new employees including the new management had no personality and are rude and last but not least the news article yesterday that it was closed last month by the health dept for cockroach infestation .

  I would like to return in a few months and see If things have changed as I would love to see the new owner be successful and to keep the best little secret restaurant / deli open and thrive for another 50 years or more !!!

  Maria's has been in the same location for as long as I can remember and it never disappoints.  I absolutely love their sausage pizza by the slice and their cold cut sandwiches always hit the spot.  Try their cannolis, brownies, or cookies to top things off.  And, of course, enjoy the family atmosphere!

  I'm proud to be having my Bachelor's, RN degree.. in fact I made you an assessment about your behavior towards people..
  #1 you're a bully
  #2 to be called that word is an insult, it might not be to you, but it is to your parents.. because it reflects how they raised you. Were you not appreciated growing up? Or you thought already did your best but still lacking?--YOU POOR THING!
  #3 if that doesn't affect you, you need a
  psychiatric help.. You're not happy with your life. Let those words for you to ponder and sink in!
  
  All I wanted is her apology from humiliating me, but apparently she didn't want to and still kept on taunting me  up to this day.. so I just leave this here!

  Lastly, by saying "your business is going down".. that means I'll bring it here and let other people think twice before eating at your restaurant..
  Don't be threatened, because I wouldn't have it posted on here, if that was my intention..
